The certification training covers the full cycle of preparing financial data for publication in a FAIR format. Participants will move step by step from an inventory of raw tables to a citable dataset with a DOI. The program addresses requirements for structure and data quality, formats and coding standards, construction of DataCite metadata, organization of supporting documentation, and legal aspects of licensing and privacy. Special attention is given to practical tooling and templates for Zenodo and Dataverse, as well as to reproducibility checks and versioning.
The certification training aim is to build a systematic understanding of FAIR principles for finance and to train participants to apply them in practice. By the end, participants will be able to design the structure of a financial dataset, prepare high-quality metadata, choose an appropriate license, and publish a citable dataset ready for reuse.
The main topics are:
Topic 1. Standards, Structures, and Data Quality in Finance
Topic 2. Metadata, Documentation, and Legal Foundations for Reuse
Topic 3. Publication, Versioning, and Maintenance of FAIR Datasets in Repositories
